Design Process

From design to Installation we aim to optimize form, function and aesthetics to breathe new life into your spaces.

PHASE 1-CONCEPT – A face to face consultation is the best way to begin. We listen to your ideas and look at any pictures or content you may have collected. Thereafter, guided by your needs and requests, you will receive expert advice on the various options that are most suited to your lifestyle, including mood boards if required. The initial consultation can be scheduled at “your place or ours”. Our showroom provides the most convenient venue for reviewing product samples however @ your request we come to you, and as your project progresses, we will meet your unique scheduling requirements. Upon review of the design intent and concept, we can now move on to the next phase. The ffg is carefully taken into consideration during this process: Architectural design, aesthetic, form, function, light control and technical implications.

PHASE 2-SPECIFICATION – Once the concept or design intent is achieved, either upon the initial meeting or following, measurements will be taken accordingly. Thereafter the client will be expertly assisted through a process of product selection from fabric swatches and accessories to finishing touches. Once all specifications are met, a comprehensive spreadsheet is drawn up and provided to the client as the initial quote. Should you wish to marginalize your budget, we are more than willing to accommodate you. Once you are satisfied, and approve the quote, processing of your order begins.

PHASE 3-PROCESSING – Upon Confirmation, a standard deposit fee is required to process your order unless payment terms have been otherwise negotiated. The remainder of the fee will be settled upon Installation. The average tail time from confirmation to final Installation is anywhere between two and six weeks or otherwise specified. Once your order is ready, you will be notified and an Installation date will be arranged to accommodate your schedule.

PHASE 4 -PROJECT MANAGEMENT & INSTALLATION – This is the stage of the project when the CURtAIN Co. team will ensure that the approved designs are implemented on site. All aspects of Installation and styling will be supervised. Our very own, skilled, and friendly Installation team, will handle fitment from technical assembly to delicate finishes, with utmost proficiency and care. Time allocated for Installation can vary between one and three days, depending on the size and complexity of the project. Once your project is completed and fully assessed a consultant will meet with you to ensure that you are more than satisfied with the end result!
